The EMC Corporate Finance team provides clients with the kind of in-depth knowledge and experience usually only expected of City-based finance houses. Between them, our team has more than 100 years of specialist corporate finance experience ranging from big ticket transactions to provincial corporate activities.
Typically EMC Corporate Finance specialises in activities with transaction values of £250k to £20m for South East-based businesses, but the team has experience of arranging and working on deals with significantly larger values.
Beyond direct experience of having ‘’been there and done it before’’, one of our key strengths is being able to work both alongside and within a business. Whether this is in merger and acquisition activities, grooming a business towards sale to create additional value, or preparing to optimise its ability to raise new money for expansion, we can help a management team get the business into the best possible shape to achieve its objectives.
A unique feature valued by our clients is our ability to call upon the internal resources of the wider EMC team of professionals whose experience spans all areas of corporate management, industry sectors and activities.
Our key services include:
- Raising Venture Capital and Equity Investment
- Debt Funding and Specialist Asset Based Finance
- Financial Packaging and Restructuring
- Business Turnaround and Recovery
- Strategic Review and Business Planning
- Business Grooming and Sale
- Merger and Acquisitions
- Pre - Acquisition Due Diligence
Fees
It has always been EMC's policy to link our fees to performance as far as possible, so we will always try to offer a fee structure that balances the work involved with the size, nature and commitment related to the successful completion of a transaction.
Nevertheless, we are unlikely to be able to work purely on a success basis, whether it is raising finance, selling a business or finding an acquisition target. We will always charge a fee for our early-stage work as this invariably involves gaining an understanding of your business or the proposed transaction. We believe this has mutual benefit, as it remains the best way of demonstrating both parties' commitment.
