EMC’s Corporate Finance team brings together several experienced commercial managers, some of whom have also practised corporate finance at a senior level in the accountancy profession. They’ve all had direct responsibility, as principal, in handling business acquisitions and disposals.
Consequently, when EMC helps with a transaction, you are receiving the benefit of first-hand experience at the sharp end of transactions, particularly those ranging from £0.5m to £20m.
OUR SERVICES
Business Sales
Our bespoke business sales service focuses on businesses turning over £1m plus, with a value of at least that sum.
Many of our sale transactions involve companies we have worked with for several years, enabling us to play to their strengths during the sale process. But whether we know you or not, we will provide an assessment of the saleability of the business (using the EMC Exit Score Chart™) and the steps needed to get it into shape.
It may be necessary to reorganise the business so it can be sold in parts to different purchasers. Once it is ready, we will provide an estimate of potential sales value, prepare a sales memorandum, seek buyers and assist in negotiations through to successful completion. Buyers appreciate continuity of management, and one of our team can remain in place to help manage the transition to new ownership.
Acquisitions and Acquisitions Searches
The only successful way of identifying potential acquisitions is by establishing a clear growth strategy, identifying a narrow range of parameters, selecting a range of targets that fit the bill, then going out and knocking on their door. We will provide this service for individuals seeking buy-in opportunities or for existing corporate clients seeking growth opportunities.
We can source funding for the right deals, and advise on the commercial viability of the transaction. We can also advise, from first hand experience, on post-acquisition management and integration, so your hard-earned funds are not wasted.
FEES
Wherever possible we will link our fees to a successful outcome, and always agree fees in advance so that clients clearly understand the costs involved. Unless you wish otherwise, we never work on a ‘running meter’ basis.
