Simon is an entrepreneurial, highly motivated and results-driven sales director who has recently returned to EMC after three years in the South West running an exclusive home interior products company where his responsibilities extended to product design (creating new fabrics), purchasing, credit control, warehousing, distribution and photography.
He has a wealth of experience of European and Middle Eastern markets and a proven track record for making a major impact on international business by utilising his hands-on sales skills and strategic marketing experience. Simon, who is bi-lingual in English and Spanish and has extensive
experience of selling in Europe, the Middle East, North America and the
Far East, has worked alongside a number of companies in the South East,
utilising his unique sales techniques and skills to grow their business.
He
developed a sales strategy for a company in the food packaging sector,
reviewing and improving field sales, adding tenacity and sales skills to
increase focus and gain new business. This resulted in a £700,000 sales
increase.
Simon also had sole responsibility for the international
business at the Crowson Group which represented a turnover of £10m, 40%
of the global business. He recruited and managed nine sales
representatives and 27 sales agents across Europe in addition to
appointing and managing 30 international distributors.
He is most proud of the projects to research, select and appoint
distributors in 12 new markets on four different continents resulting in
increased turnover of £600,000 and net contribution to the bottom line
of £183,000.
Time at home is spent with his family, including
enjoying gastro pubs throughout Sussex and trying the growing number of
excellent restaurants in the city of Brighton and Hove.
He is also
an avid exercise fan and a member of the gym at the Hotel Metropole in
Brighton. He likes cricket (member of Sussex CCC), rugby, football,
reading and music.
