Free seminars for those looking to sell or protect their businesses

Interim management and corporate finance boutique EMC, which has offices in Eastbourne, Crawley and Maidstone, is hosting two free seminars aimed at boosting the fortunes of business owner/managers across the region.

Since its formation in 1989, EMC has helped more than 250 private business owners to reap the maximum reward for their years of hard work once they’ve made the decision to exit. Many have become multi-millionaires as a result.

On 28 May at the Brands Hatch Thistle Hotel, Kent, the firm will outline to those considering selling in the next few years the various steps they need to take to make sure they get the best possible price.

EMC’s advisors will be joined at the morning event by at least one former client who will provide a ‘warts and all’ analysis of how EMC helped them to sell their business.

For those who at this stage are more interested in simply protecting their companies in the current turbulent economic times, EMC is holding a ‘Managing through a Recession’ seminar at Brighton Racecourse on 25 June.

The seminar will show how it’s possible to not just survive a recession but even to thrive – often at the expense of competitors. It will cover the sales, HR, finance and general management issues that need to be identified, monitored and acted upon when the going starts to get tough.

EMC pioneered the concept of the ‘mobile boardroom’ in the late 1980s. Since then its highly experienced, multi-disciplined team of senior professionals has provided short and long-term help and advice to scores of SMEs across the South East.
