EMC Advises Shareholders of Networks Centre on sale to Sweden’s Alcadon Group

EMC Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of Networks Centre Holding Company Limited (“NWC”) on the sale to Alcadon Group AB (“Alcadon”).

NWC is headquartered in West Sussex with subsidiaries in Scotland and the Netherlands. It is a professional distributor of products and complete systems for network infrastructure solutions. NWC reported revenues of GBP 42.6m with an underlying EBITDA of GBP 3.6m for the past twelve months to June 2022.

Following the acquisition, the current Group Managing Director, Duncan Lindsay, will assume the role of Senior Vice President UK within Alcadon Group, where he will also be part of Alcadon Group’s management team. The current Sales Director, James Reid, will take over the responsibility as Managing Director of the Networks Centre Group. Networks Centre will remain an independent company within Alcadon Group in line with Alcadon’s strategy of working with decentralised profit centers.

Sonny Mirborn, Group Chief Executive Officer, Alcadon Group AB, commented

”With the acquisition of Networks Centre, Alcadon Group is establishing itself in one of the largest and fastest growing markets in Network Infrastructure in the World, the UK. The company has an excellent reputation among both customers and suppliers, and we look forward to working together. With overlapping and complementary product portfolios, similar strategy and values, a solid system-solution mindset and supplier relations, everything indicates that Networks Centre and Alcadon Group will be able to make a significant contribution to each other’s development.”

Duncan Lindsay, Founder of Networks Centre, continued

“I am delighted with the opportunity to accelerate the growth of Networks Centre under the Alcadon umbrella. Our team has successfully built a market leading business across the network infrastructure community and this investment is an accolade to the hard work and support of not only our staff, but also our customers and suppliers, who I would like to thank.

“EMC, led by Michael Pay, has been with us every step of the way. They have shown their commercial skill at negotiating a complex cross-border transaction to get the best outcome for all parties and, in all honesty, we could not have done it without them.”

Michael Pay, Co-Founder, EMC Corporate Finance concluded

“It is always a pleasure to see a successful outcome to a deal. Having first met Duncan back in the 2000’s it has been made all the more enjoyable to have seen at first hand the journey from a relatively small distributor to a market leader that has been courted by international competitors wanting to enter the UK market.

Despite all the headlines, it shows, once again, that the UK is an exciting and investable nation and one that we should be proud to be a part of.”
