EMC is shortlisted for top national award

Just a few weeks after winning the two top trophies in the leading regional awards for South East dealmakers, EMC Corporate Finance is now on the shortlist for a major national award.
We are one of seven finalists competing for the prestigious Corporate Finance Boutique of the Year title at the High Potential Business Awards – previously known as the M&A Awards – that will be presented at a glamorous awards ceremony at London’s Savoy Hotel on 22 June.
The awards, organised by business magazine publisher Vitesse Media, are widely recognised as the ‘Oscars’ of the M&A industry nationally.
They follow our tremendous success in capturing both the Dealmaker of the Year and Deal of the Year trophies at the Insider South East Dealmaker of the Year Awards earlier this year.
EMC CEO Nik Askaroff, described by the Insider Awards judges as ‘the outstanding dealmaker in the region,’ said: “It’s one thing being recognised as the best within the South East, but to be competing for top honours on the national stage is something else altogether.
“I am incredibly proud of the team here at EMC who have contributed so much over the last 12 months to getting so many great deals over the line. It hasn’t always been easy, but their expertise and diligence, coupled with a deep knowledge of both the local area and the market sectors, has enabled us to complete several deals that could very easily have collapsed otherwise.
“Whether or not we win, being shortlisted for this top national award, rounds off a fantastic year for us.”
This is the tenth year of Vitesse Media’s M&A Awards but the first under the new title of the High Potential Business Awards. The rebrand comes with the introduction of several new categories that focus on start-ups and small and medium sized businesses that have displayed impressive organic growth.
