EMC is to host free breakfast seminars in March at the Kent County Cricket Ground, Canterbury. One will cover how to grow sales and the other will look at the challenge of buying and selling a business.
‘Growing Your Sales in a Tough and Competitive Economy’
Wednesday 13 March
Designed to help businesses find new and innovative ways to grow their sales, the seminar will also reinforce the use of traditional sales disciplines that put the customer at the heart of the operation. Delegates will leave the event with fresh ideas and practical tips that can be implemented immediately to improve sales.
The seminar will be broken down into three 20-minute sessions, each led by one of EMC’s sales and marketing specialists, and will cover subjects such as effective sales management, exporting for success, and the use of telephone-based customer surveys to generate business.
‘The Challenges of Buying and Selling a Business’
Thursday 14 March
In these tough economic times, many businesses are resigned to working harder for, at best, modest growth. But need that be the case? The seminar will show how a carefully researched and planned acquisition could allow you to radically improve resources, market penetration and margins. It will explain the process of acquisition, the valuation methodologies and how to avoid buying the wrong business. The seminar will also look at how to plan the sale of a business to ensure it achieves maximum value.
Each of the four 15-minute presentations will be given by an expert in their field and the seminars will be led by EMC Kent Director Desmond High who has handled dozens of business sales and acquisitions. Delegates will leave wiser and clearer about what is really involved in buying and selling a business.
Each of the seminars will start at 8am with coffee and bacon rolls. The presentations will run from 8.30 to 9.30 followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.
