Two more join our ‘mobile boardroom’

EMC’s line-up of experienced finance, sales and marketing directors has recently been joined by two more business heavyweights who extend still further the range of skills and expertise available to advise and support SMEs in the South East.

Jon Green (above left) is an IT director with an impressive background in delivering strategic IT management with a clear business focus. He has headed up teams in global corporations and operated as a one-man IT department in SMEs. So he is fully conversant with the IT demands of both large and small businesses. In particular he understands the realities faced by SMEs in delivering effective IT services with limited resources. He offers strategic IT management and advice focused on ensuring that IT provision is driven by and aligned with business need rather than being an end in itself – or, as he puts it: “IT without the geek factor”.

Simon Robbins (above right) has more than 30 years experience in business development, M&A, strategy and marketing having worked in and advised FTSE 100 companies, private equity-backed and privately-owned businesses and companies from start-ups to those with a £1 billion turnover. He operates as an interim commercial director and non-executive director, carries out business reviews, and advises on growth strategies including growth via acquisition where he has a wealth of experience.  He is also active in preparing businesses for sale, and works on one-off business advisory projects.

With many companies battling to stay afloat in the current turbulent economic waters, while others seek to exploit them by growing at the expense of weakened competition, EMC’s services as business and corporate finance advisors, interim directors and trusted hand-holders have rarely been in greater demand.
