Every so often something momentous happens when we can look back and say – we were there!
Just such an occasion took place before Christmas when Zeus Sports arranged its first exclusive Changing Room Dinner in the hallowed England changing room at Twickenham, led by England Rugby captain Chris Robshaw.
Zeus was established in 2014 by Robshaw and fellow rugby professionals Darren and Adam Clayton with the aim of providing unique and truly special events with an intimate and personal touch – occasions that provide unique experiences and create lasting memories; events that feel more like having dinner and chatting with friends who just happen to be sporting heroes.
The Changing Room Dinner at Twickenham was exactly that. The evening was presided over by no less than five England rugby internationals and each of the five tables of guests was hosted by its very own rugby superstar.
The star-studded evening was pure rugby heaven and included pitch-side drinks and canapés, mixing and chatting in the tunnel, a five-course gourmet dinner and free-flowing drinks all night in the England changing room.
The icing on the cake was probably the changing room banter and secrets shared by the rugby stars. We would love to be able to share some of these with you, but what happens in the changing rooms must stay in the changing rooms!
EMC’s Terry Rainback has been helping the lads at Zeus to get things off the ground and was lucky enough to be one of the 50 Twickenham Changing Room guests to savour the style and pizzazz that Chris, Darren and Adam embed into their events.
Terry enthused: “Everybody sets themselves high targets when they start out in business and some don’t quite reach them. Zeus Sports’ aims are, frankly, astronomical, yet remarkably they exceeded them with the first England Changing Room Dinner.
“For all of us privileged enough to be there, standing pitch-side having a drink and chatting with the likes of Robbo, Ugo Monye, Joe Marler, Danny Care and Joe Launchbury was just priceless. The guys at Zeus clearly have a winning formula and we can’t wait to see what other exciting events they have in the pipeline.”
