David Seall
David is a highly accomplished non-executive director, strategic advisor and Chartered Engineer. He is manufacturing and process specialist having previously been Chief Executive of EEF South – now part of Make UK.
Guiding strategic planning, growth and risk mitigation strategies, David provides outside objectivity on implementing best practice. He has helped private businesses steer their way through succession planning, change of ownership and M&A. At EMC he brings this knowledge and experience to support owner managed businesses with growth challenges and preparing for a successful exit.
David has a portfolio of chair positions with UK SME manufacturing businesses as well as being a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey Business School and a member of the Manufacturing Commission, advising the All Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group. He retains a role at Make UK as a Member of the National Economic Policy Committee and Deputy Chair of their South East Regional Advisory Board and is a Life Fellow of the IoD
David brings this experience to provide operational, governance and financial expertise, he helps structure procedures, development programmes and other key processes. An advocate of “Lean” and Industry 4.0, David helps devise and implement manufacturing strategy. He also uses his technical skills to considerable effect. Advising service companies on the Industrial sector he also performs ‘buy side’ technical due diligence.
