John Blackburn
John is a highly experienced senior management professional with an impressive 30-year track record in sales and operational management with both large, blue chip organisations as well as smaller, entrepreneurial enterprises. He specializes in supporting clients with sales strategy and management, transformation and recruitment initiatives, interim support roles and acquisition integration planning.
He has held board positions to managing director level and combines strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to plan, communicate and motivate others to execute successfully strategic sales plans across a range of business sectors.
John’s previous experience included building a new sales operation and overseeing the integration of a series of mergers and acquisitions at The Danwood Group, sales management and development at Pitney Bowes and senior roles as Thomson Financial Plc as a UK sales manager selling ‘real-time’ analysis to the financial markets.
His recent experience at EMC includes supporting a manufacturing client with reshaping their sales function and supporting a software testing business with their sales growth strategy and team mentoring.
