EMC Corporate Finance completes another trans-Atlantic deal

EMC Corporate Finance has completed another major trans-Atlantic deal. The firm acted as lead advisors to London-based Bellville International Ltd on its sale to OIA Global, a leading worldwide transportation, supply chain management and packaging solutions provider based in Portland, Oregon.

Bellville International is a $100 million global provider of freight forwarding and logistics services. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

EMC CEO Nik Askaroff helped to negotiate the deal and advise on all commercial matters as the transaction progressed. Bellville were supported by accountants Baker Tilly and lawyers Kerman & Co.

David Ower, Bellville Rodair Group Managing Director, said: “The support we received from Nik was excellent. He not only negotiated the deal but was on hand to smooth out any of the bumpy bits that are almost inevitably encountered in a deal of this size and complexity. Having such calm and experienced advisors made the whole exercise a lot less stressful than it might otherwise have been and certainly helped us complete to a tight deadline.”

He added: “Bellville has built its business by delivering high-touch customer service and reliability, resulting in strong working relationships with our clients. OIA’s similar commitment to overall professionalism and client service was a major part of what attracted us most to OIA.”
