Jourdan is an experienced business owner, advisor and investor who specialises in sustainability strategy, technology investments and cross-border projects.

Prior to working with EMC, Jourdan successfully founded and exited Alpin, a strategic sustainability/innovation consultancy based in the GCC region. Alpin was, among others, elected as the Best Places to Work and a signatory of the UN Women's Empowerment Principles.

Jourdan now brings this experience to help owner managed businesses in Europe and the GCC on implementing investment projects and executing cross-border transactions. His portfolio of clients include an early-stage EMEA venture fund investing cheque sizes up to €10m and sitting on the board of a number of technology growth businesses.

Jourdan is originally from San Francisco, California and has lived, worked, and studied across the globe. Having earned a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly Architecture he subsequently earned his MBA from London Business School. In addition to continuing education at MIT in the field of Artificial Intelligence, he is a graduate of INSEAD's International Directors Program with a focus on Corporate Governance.

He is a regular speaker in the field of corporate sustainability having contributed to Columbia University, The UNDP, The Economist, and TEDx.
